MyWorkoutPartner.com was named one of the top seven fitness Websites by About.com, and Condé Nast Traveler included Erick on its celebrated "What's hot" beauty and health list alongside the Coco Channel, Christian Dior, and Ellen Lange brands.

Erick has been featured on San Francisco's KPIX Channel 5 (CBS) in a segment about young entrepreneurs. In 2003 the San Francisco Bay Times recognized Erick as such a strong personality in the fitness industry that they published a profile about him titled "Erick Alvarez, Fitness Guru."
